Why the name

Two words we try to live up to.

Of the place where land meets water. It's where we live and where we gather. The tide keeps teaching us patience: it shows up twice a day, every day, and slowly reshapes everything.
monknoun
Someone who keeps a quiet practice of service. We borrow the spirit, not the robes: humility, steady discipline, and showing up for others without needing the spotlight.

What we believe

The people closest to a problem are often closest to its solution. Our job is to help them build something that lasts, with the strategy, partners, and capital to grow what works.
